Patty
is the owner/operator of DALLAS DOG SPORTS and serves as the Training
Director. Patty began training dogs in 1985 and has been an active
obedience and agility exhibitor since 1986. Patty is also an agility judge
for both USDAA and AKC and has had the honor of judging at the National
Finals for both organizations. Her current four-legged companions are
"Jessie" the Border Collie ( retired from agility ), "Max" the Springer Spaniel (retired from agility) and "Buzzbee" the Border Collie. And let's not forget Scooter, the best ever Springer Spaniel
(1984-1994) that got all of this crazy dog training stuff started. Patty
and her four dogs have earned over 24 performance
titles amongst them, in both obedience and agility. Visit the

Diane Carson -
Agility Instructor

Diane
has been training and competing in agility since 1992. Her current agility
partner is “Jenna”, a Border Collie who has appeared on the USDAA Top Ten
List in many categories over several years, including being the top 22”
Gambler dog in 2006 – in the country! Jenna has thus far achieved the
USDAA Gold Lifetime Achievement Award and has been a contender at the
Nationals level for several years. Diane started her agility
training with "Sammie" (1990-2006) and "Cady" (retired) - the rescue
Border Collie girls. Sammie and Cady also appeared in multiple categories
of the USDAA Top Ten list and were amongst the first few dogs in the
country earning Lifetime Achievement awards from USDAA. Sammie was a
finalist in the highly
competitive 22" jump height division of the USDAA Grand Prix of Dog
Agility in 1997 and 1998 and Cady went to the finals round in 2000). Diane
has been training and teaching at Dallas Dog Sports since it started in
1995. She lives in Parker with husband Pat, daughter Elizabeth and son
Sean.

Terri Schmidt - Pre-Agility

Terri has been
involved in the world of performance dogs since 1982. Her experience
includes breeding and showing her dogs in the conformation ring, training
and exhibiting in obedience, rally and agility, lure coursing and
pet therapy work in hospitals.Terri has been teaching
obedience classes since 1993 and has been the Pre-Agility Director for DDS
since 2001.
Terri's career in dog training started with her
Rhodesian Ridgebacks who have been nationally ranked in
obedience. Then along came "Roo", a black-tri Aussie that Terri adopted
from one of the local Aussie Rescue organizations. Terri and Roo's
obedience career thus far include a Dog World award on her way to earning
her CD and CDX titles and multiple High in Trials. They are currently
competing in the Excellent/Masters level agility classes, having earned
their AKC/MACH in 2006 and their USDAA/MAD in 2005. Terri and
Roo have qualified for the 2007 AKC Agility Nationals. Rounding out Roo's
accomplishments, we can add movie star to her long list of titles. Roo has
had
multiple appearances on the television show "Prison Break" and has a
significant part in the video "Barney Goes To The Firehouse" and also
appears on the "Barney and Friends" television show. Terri coordinates and
runs the Pre-Agility
program here at DDS. Terri and husband Peter, reside in Garland with their
son Aaron.

Jody
Faulkner - Agility Instructor

Jody is an
Aussie-person. Gracie and Twist are both adopted Australian
Shepherds that 'grace' the Plano home of Jody and her husband. Both
Gracie and Twist are currently competing in agility at the Masters
level. Gracie completed her ADCH in
2003. Jody is a bundle of energy
(as are her dogs!) and her background in competitive softball and
triathlons ensures the students in her class get a workout. Jody has
been involved in agility since 1997 and has been a DDS Instructor since
2000.

Stacy Lehman - Agility Instructor
Stacy Lehman has been competing in agility since 2000 with her teammate
"Shirley". Shirley is an All-American rescue dog who earned her ADCH in
2003 and her Bronze Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. Stacy's newest
agility partner is Chuy, a Hungarian Pumi, who is just beginning his
agility career. Stacy's competition and training background includes
horse eventing, where she participated in cross country, stadium
jumping and dressage. She has also maintained her interest in music and
has been teaching piano on a private basis since 1985. Her musical
teaching talents have also been shared with the Plano ISD as an
Elementary Music Specialist. Stacy resides in Plano with husband Jon,
son David and daughter Annie (who is also an accomplished agility
trainer, having earned her ADCH with her own dog "Misty", the Jack
Russell Terrier).
Lisa Troy - Agility Instructor
Lisa has been training and showing dogs since 1994. She and her vizsla,
Dulci, completed their conformation championship and obedience CD in
Utah before turning to agility. After moving to North Texas, they
joined Dallas Dog Sports and became the second DDS dog/handler team to
earn the MACH title. It was quite a sight to see Lisa and Dulci racing
around the course for that last qualifying score for her MACH, with Lisa
being eight months pregnant! Lisa lives in McKinney with husband Kevin
and their two children, Savannah and Owen.
Aimee Legendre - Agility Instructor
Aimee started in agility in 2001 and has never looked back. She has
competed with horses in dressage and 3-day eventing most of her life
and now enjoys some of the same challenges with her smaller canine
partners. Aimee has two all-american' dogs whom she adopted
from rescue organizations. 'Jackson', who earned his AD title, is now
happily retired from agility and has his resume out to become the
poster dog for any and all rescue organizations. 'Sally', agility dog
in training, is just starting out on her agility career.
